So this was an interesting find during lunch today (4/21/2026). I found this 1962 Shelby Cobra 289 50th Anniversary parked on Katonah Avenue. While this is not an original 1960s Cobra, it is a genuine continuation Cobra made by Shelby themselves to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the original 289 Cobra. A major difference between this continuation Cobra and a genuine 1960s Cobra is that the body is made from fiberglass as opposed to aluminum. This particular car, CSX8952 was delivered as a rolling chassis to a dealer in California and was equipped a Stroker V8 in November 2024. This particular car recently sold on Bring a Trailer for $215,000 and the listing has more details if you're interested.
